About Us

Echo's Magical Garden is a brand of children's clothing that aims to excite the imagination of child and parent alike. Taking its inspiration from the dreamlike wonder of folklore, myths and legends, Echo's Magical garden is about playfulness, adventure and fantasy.

We are a husband and wife team based in Brighton, and after becoming parents we soon realised the difficulty in finding clothing for our son that was different and inspiring - clothing that would fire up his imagination. Amongst the racks and racks of clothes with meaningless slogans and pink and blue gender specific outfits, we discovered truly playful and unique designs were hard to find.

With Echo's Magical Garden (named after our son Echo), we offer a gender neutral brand that is imbued with childlike wonder; unusual, magical designs with their own stories to spark the imagination. We also want to provide an affordable middle ground between the high street stores, and expensive designer children's wear.

Our wonderful illustrations are the work of Kirsten Ulve, who is a New York City based illustrator and designer whose work blends crisp conceptual design, vivid colour and a sense of otherworldly fun. Her specialties include fashion and lifestyle illustration, children's art, caricature, toy and game design, character development, animation styling and conceptual illustration. Clients include The New Yorker, Glamour, Volvo, Hasbro, and Japanese Vogue.  She has also exhibited her work in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Kirsten currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and two black kitties, Romulus and Remus.
